RMI-25 Australia Directions for Use in Non-Marine engines
Just add the RMI-25 at 1 Litre per 80 Litres straight into your radiator.
Drive away and when water turns darkish brown change fluid and back flush.
Most products cannot prevent scale build up on cooling systems surfaces, which therefore require caustic or acid bathing.
RMI-25 breaks down solids to molecular size holding them in suspension, which discolours the cooling water to darkish brown. This colour change can occur within 6-10 hours of operation.
When this happens, simply drain system, back flush and re-dose until cooling water retains yellow-green colour. At this point, system is perfectly clean and will remain so if dosed accordingly.
RMI-25 Cooling System treatment can be added to all glycol based coolants or just used with water. Where anti-freeze is required, it should also be added. It is both a cleaner/de-scaler of the entire cooling system, as well as providing complete protection to all types of system materials.
RMI-25 cleans (and keeps clean) cooling system and at the same time prevents corrosion, cavitation erosion and cylinder pitting. It lubricates water pump seals, heater control valves, drain plugs and virtually eliminates water pump failures, while preserving hoses, O-rings and seals.
Unlike other cooling system treatments, RMI-25 is Non-Toxic and biodegradable, it is entirely safe to use in environmentally sensitive areas.
RMI-25 Directions for Use in Marine engines
Just add the RMI-25 at 1 Litre per 80 Litres of fresh water into a large container. Close the sea water inlet seacock. Disconnect the sea water inlet hose from the sea strainer and place into the container. Start the engine and run at idle speed, in neutral until the solution is gone. This procedure will clean the raw water side of the heat exchanger as the hoses on closed cooled (fresh water) systems. For larger or older engines, repeat the process.
Replace the raw water inlet hose to the sea strainer, open the seacock and your done. !
For closed cooled (fresh water) engines, it is recommended to clean the fresh water or coolant side of the engine Too. Just add the RMI-25 at 1 Litre per 80 Litres of fresh water into a large container. Close the sea water inlet seacock. Disconnect the engine inlet hose at the heat exchanger and place into the container. Start the engine and run at idle speed, in neutral until the solution is gone. For larger or older engines, repeat the process.
Replace the engine inlet hose to the heat exchanger, open the seacock and your done. Vole !
Just add the RMI-25 at 1 Litre per 80 Litres of fresh water into a large container. Insert the lower unit of the outboard engine into the container making sure that the water intakes are completely immersed in the solution. Start the engine and run in neutral until the solution is darkish brown or the solution becomes very hot. Stop the engine and discard the solution. Repeat the process until the solution is clean and your done. !!
Stern Drive/Out Drive Engines:
For stern drive / out drive engines, if the vessel is in the water, use the directions for inboard engines. If the vessel is out of the water, use the directions for outboard engines..
